Corona

Your injury lawyers are in town

Montanez Yu’s office is at 700 E. Grand Blvd., on the circle at the center of Corona. If you were hurt here, you can meet with us at the office, talk by phone, or start your claim online, whichever is easiest while you recover.

Most Corona injury claims start on the road. The 91 and the 15 meet here, and backups spill onto Main Street, Lincoln Avenue, Ontario Avenue, and McKinley Street, where sudden stops lead to rear-end and intersection crashes. Others happen on Green River Road and Cajalco Road, in the parking lots at Dos Lagos and the Crossings, and on neighborhood streets.

Crashes on city streets are handled by the Corona Police Department; crashes on the 91 or the 15, usually by the California Highway Patrol. Either way, the first steps after a crash are the same: get medical care, keep every record, and talk with a lawyer before you give an insurer a recorded statement.

We deal with the insurance companies, collect your medical records and bills, and keep you informed in plain English. You will know who is working on your case and how to reach them.

How a Corona claim works

Four steps from the first call

01

Free consultation

Call (951) 444-7407 or reach us online. We listen, review what you have, and tell you whether we can help. The consultation is free, in English or Spanish.

02

Investigation

We request the Corona Police or CHP report, photos, and witness information, ask nearby businesses to keep their video, and gather your medical records and bills.

03

Demand

When your treatment is far enough along, we send the insurer a documented demand that sets out fault and every category of loss.

04

Resolution

We negotiate. If the insurer will not make a fair offer, we talk with you about filing suit in Riverside County Superior Court before the deadline.

Common questions

Corona injury questions

Do I have to come to the office?

No. You can meet with us at 700 E. Grand Blvd., talk by phone, or handle most of the claim online, whichever works for you.

How much does it cost?

No fee and no costs unless we recover. We work on a contingency fee, and we explain the percentage in writing before you sign.

Who pays if a rideshare driver hit me?

Rideshare companies must carry insurance that applies while a driver is logged in to the app, with higher limits during a trip. Which policy pays depends on what the driver was doing at that moment, so note whether the driver had a passenger.

How long do I have to file?

In California, most injury lawsuits must be filed within two years. A claim against the City of Corona, Riverside County, or Caltrans usually must be presented in writing within six months. Call early so a deadline does not decide your case.

What if I was hurt in a store or parking lot?

A property owner must keep its property reasonably safe. Report it to the manager, photograph the hazard, and ask the business to keep its video before it is recorded over. Our slip and fall guide explains what to save.

Do you speak Spanish?

Yes. Se habla español. Tell us when you call and we will arrange it.
